FOUR UNDERGRADUATES WANTED FOR KIDNAPPING AND ROBBERY

 For some time, kidnapping thrived in
parts of Cross River State, making many
residents to live in perpetual dread of the
gangsters, who attacked major towns
and villages at will. But following some useful leads, the
police uncovered the alleged principal
actors behind most kidnap cases in the
state. Eventually, when they declared an
undergraduate of the Cross River State
University of Technology, Edem Akpan aka Kepy, and three others wanted for
alleged criminal offences, residents of
Calabar, the state capital, heaved a sigh
of relief. Before the officer-in-charge of the

Department, Mr. Ekwenye Ebere made
the declaration, many residents of the
city and its environs had been unaware
