Batman vs Superman: Bryan Cranston cast as Lex Luthor

'Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston has been cast as Lex Luthor in the upcoming 'Man of Steel' sequel, according to reports.
After the opinion-dividing decision to cast Ben Affleck is Batman earlier in the week, this would be a much more crowd-pleasing piece of casting.
There had been rumours that Cranston was favourite for the role and there has been no official announcement yet, but CosmicBookNews reports that a deal is in place and Warner Bros will announce it in the wake of 'Breaking Bad's final episode next month.

According to their sources Cranston has signed a deal to appear in "at least six" films but possibly as many as ten.
They also report that Ben Affleck is signed to a 13-appearance deal as Batman.
Warner Bros and DC Comics are obviously hoping to replicate the success of Marvel's 'Avengers' universe, with this year's 'Man of Steel' representing the first step towards an eventual 'Justice League' movie.
