Lady Gaga 'confirmed for iTunes Festival on September 1st' - EXCLUSIVE

This is ACTUALLY happening, people!

Lady Gaga is set to make her British stage comeback at this year's iTunes festival on September 1st, we can confirm.
Rumours of Gaga's return to the UK surfaced a month ago, with whispers gathering pace last night after she rushed the release of her single, Applause.

And omg! can now exclusively reveal that she WILL be gracing the Brits with her presence in just over two weeks' time on September 1st.

A well-placed insider told us: "They're making the official announcement tomorrow, but she has confirmed for September 1st at the Roundhouse in Camden.

"It was kept top secret for months until it was all official at her end."

Katy Perry was also rumoured to have been on the cards for the festival, making the pair's "chart battle" even more intense.

Katy's single, Roar, is already no.1 in the iTunes charts in the US, but Gaga's Applause is following closely behind at no.3.

The 27-year-old released Applause a week ahead of schedule after a series of leaks surfaced online, while Katy released Roar two days early, also thanks to leaked versions of her single.

Gaga's London show on September 1st will be her first major gig since she underwent hip surgery in February.

The iTunes festival features performances from the likes of Justin Timberlake, Arctic Monkeys, Elton John, Kings of Leon and Jessie J over the course of 30 days.

A spokesperson for iTunes told omg!: "Apple does not comment on rumours or speculation."
