Pirates of the Caribbean 5 gets a title

‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ will be the title of the fifth Jack Sparrow adventure according to reports.

This Is Infamous spoke to Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg about the film they are lined up to direct for a 2015 release.

A full interview has yet to be published but the site claims the pair was enthusiastic about the script they will be working with in the months ahead.

Rønning and Sandberg were promoting their Norwegian film ‘Kon-Tiki’, which was nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film category at this year’s Academy Awards.

In 2011 ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ broke the $1 billion mark despite woeful reviews, making a sequel inevitable.

After the recent failure of ‘The Lone Ranger’, which re-teamed Johnny Depp with ‘Pirates’ producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, Disney may be increasingly willing to return to a formula for success.
