A suspected fake police officer was arrested last Saturday at Meiran in Lagos with 30 bags of Indian hemp in his truck. As at the time of his arrest, Chukwuemeka Ezeabu had in his possession fake identity cards, which identified him as an inspector in the Nigeria Police Force, and a clerical officer in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Abuja. Ezeabu was said to have ferried bags of Indian hemp from places like Sango-Ota, Ogun State, Ibadan and other areas to big dealers in Lagos for about a year before he was arrested.
