The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said on Wednesday that governance in the country was failing to meet the aspirations of Nigerians and their desire to
have a country that would provide for their welfare. She explained that the development was partly responsible for the exodus of Nigerians to other countries in the hope of getting a better life only to be caught on the wrong side of the law. Dabiri-Erewa spoke in Abuja on the findings of her committee, which recently visited Brazil over the plight of 457 Nigerians held for various alleged drug offences.
