THE Joint Task Force (JTF) in Kano, between 8.00 a.m. and 9.00 a.m. on Sunday, raided an area at Hotoro on the outskirts of Kano, which was a hideout of gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect, killing four members of the sect in a gun battle that lasted for hours.
A source in Kano said that members of the Boko Haram sect on Saturday night shot and killed a soldier and a riot policeman in Hotoro area.
